Mopars & Coffee Berlin – A Classic American Car Tradition in Germany

Among Europe’s many US car gatherings, Mopars & Coffee Berlin stands out as one of the most authentic and enduring meetups for American car enthusiasts.
Founded in 2011 by Stefan from Cologne, the first Berlin meet took place on June 26, 2011, marking the beginning of a unique community that celebrates American car culture far from its homeland.

Over the years, Mopars & Coffee expanded to several German cities — including Cologne and Landshut — before settling into its current hubs in Esslingen (run by Frank since 2014) and Berlin, where the spirit continues to thrive.

The idea behind Mopars & Coffee is beautifully simple:
Once a month, owners of classic US cars come together for relaxed “car talk,” group cruises, and even drive-in movie nights that have become the stuff of local legend.
Despite its name, the event is open to all American makes — from Buick and Chevrolet to Ford, Lincoln, and beyond — with a focus on vehicles built before 1979.

What makes Mopars & Coffee Berlin special is its community spirit. Families, kids, and even dogs are welcome; the atmosphere is as friendly as it is passionate. Over the years, the group has also supported several local charities — including Kinderkrebshilfe Pegasus Tempelhof, Kita Hephatha in Neukölln, and Tierheim Zossen, where members even volunteered on-site.

During the pandemic, meetings were scaled down, but the tradition survived. Today, Mopars & Coffee Berlin continues with two major highlights each year — the Season Opening and Season Closer — keeping the community alive and celebrating a shared love of vintage Detroit iron.
